Fragile

Tiny birdlings
Chirping, hopping around
Heavenly sound
Heavenly sound
Mom’s caress, her loving feed
All they need
All they need
Dad around, his assuring pat
To fool the cat
To fool the cat
Learn tricks, spread wings wide
Parents’ pride
Parents’ pride
Wise kids, ready for worldly test
Empty nest
Empty nest
Receives a gift, the best pick
Walking stick
Walking stick
Watery, wrinkled smile
Pride fragile
