Silent Anger...

No words...
words allay your guilt,
I'll let the storm built...

(My first attempt at haiku - written for Haiku Heights)

    1. believe me, I myself had no idea, but then I got to know that its a three line poem not exceeding 17 syllables, that is it and I wrote it. I don't even know whether it qualifies for a haiku or not.

      Thanks for your encouraging comments!

  8. aloha Meenakshi - you have a good eye for the "moment" you speak about in your haiku. i like that.

as you mentioned this is your first attempt with haiku and i saw you like to read (many of the same books i like even in those few you start with, of your long list) i'd like to leave this link here for you:

    http://www.ahapoetry.com/

that is "Ah Ha Poetry" it is one of many excellent sites that offer great insight into haiku (and other poetic forms). i like this one a lot but there are as i say many others. especially explore the left column under "Haiku" - Jane is a brilliant writer and speaker and her haiku almost always catch "a moment" in unique ways.

i hope you continue to write haiku and enjoy it as much as i do. aloha.
